Contact lenses can dislodge and get stuck at the back of the eye. Usually this happens due to the lack of moisture in the eyes.
FICTION 60%
It is physically impossible for your contact lenses to get stuck behind your eye, says Dr. Allison Ng, an optometrist and researcher at the University of Waterloo’s Centre for Contact Lens Research in Waterloo, Ont., in a phone interview. That’s because a membrane covers your eye and connects to the inside of your eyelids, she explains. But, contact lenses can and do sometimes get stuck at the top or bottom of your eyelid. If that happens try to take it out yourself, but if you can’t get it out go to your doctor who will get it out for you.
